 Temple Lomi Lomi

I humbly offer this bodywork from the Peruvian, Columbian, and Hawaiian medicine lineages and teachers that have blessed my life.

This style of bodywork is a blend of massage, energy work, and sound healing. It is based around your intention and the calling in of your well ancestors, sacred ones, and Spirit. I begin session by opening a door for these helper spirits to come in, as well as the elements, and the spirits of the four directions. In combination with my own helper spirits, the space facilitates an alliance that allows your well ancestors and helper spirits to show up and work through me. I just simply listen. This shows up, usually, in the form of prayer, song/chanting, and the use of instruments to break up and scatter stuck energy that might be in your physical body or aura.

The foundation of the bodywork techniques that I incorporate is a form of indigenous, Hawaiian massage, or Temple Lomi Lomi. This form of bodywork was used by the kahunas or Hawaiian shamans and was used to honor rites of passage as well as facilitate multi-layered healing and visionary experiences My intention as a practitioner is to work with not only the physical body and its layers of muscles and tissues--but also the subtle body, which also has its own layers. It is composed of your body as it is right now, your ancestors/blood/lineage, the collective trauma, and that of karmic residue from previous lifetimes. These subtle energies can get clogged in our body and this can manifest as various ailments or mental patterns.

These sessions, to me, are prayers, tailored between the reciprocity of our combined energies. I honor the ripples from my teachers and the ways in which they impact this work, as well as the spirits of this land who permit it. I am honored and humbled to work you in this liminal space.

Custom Therapeutic Massage

Includes hot stones, cupping, warm towels, and aromatherapy. These are sessions tailored specifically to your individual needs and current experience in your body.

Some questions that I'd like you to ask yourself before our session together: Are you seeking relaxation and stress relief or are you more interested in working with specific ailments present in your body? This is important because these are both very different approaches and can look different for most people. For example, somebody who wants to settle their nervous system may benefit more from Swedish or Lomi Lomi (relaxation) massage versus Trigger point work or "Deep Tissue." These questions also help me understand your intention. We can do muscle specific work, or I can flow with your body and see what comes up as well. I am happy to discuss this before your session to get a feel for what you are looking for. Reach out for any questions. I can work anywhere between a light-deep pressure.

I would like to note though, that my approach to Deep Tissue might be different compared to other massage therapists. My philosophy is that if you are gritting your teeth and not breathing, then we are too deep. My goal is not to bring my clients to this state, rather to a therapeutic edge/threshold where the body is able to let go and release holding patterns. We can do this without you being in pain for the whole massage! You CAN have gain without pain.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage

MLD is a light, skin-stretching massage that helps promote the movement of lymphatic fluid. It should not be confused with a traditional massage. MLD is specifically focused on the lymph vessels to help the flow of lymphatic fluid. Therapy is applied to your unaffected areas first, making it possible for the fluid to move out of the affected area, or “decongest” the region. MLD helps open the remaining functioning lymph collectors and move protein and fluid into them, as well as to help speed up lymph fluid flow through the lymphatics. Gentle, yet profound--MLD quiets the nervous system, improves circulation, and is a natural analgesic. Great for all walks of life ranging from sports recovery to hospice care. I am trained in the Vodder method by the Klose Institute.

Craniosacral Therapy

$70 for 1 hour. ***My education is introductory*** thus why it is cheaper than the other bodywork. CST can get pretty advanced. I am happy to refer you to more experienced practitioners if this is something you are interested. I just love giving this work.*** CST is a gentle hands-on technique that uses a light touch to observe membranes and movement of cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. CST Has been shown to help with PTSD, depression and anxiety, digestive, respiratory, musculoskeletal, and circulatory health. Most importantly, this modality facilitates the body’s natural and innate healing process. I personally think that healing begins in the central nervous system and that the rest follows from there. I am super excited to practice and learn more about this technique and offer it as single sessions or integrated into deep tissue, MLD or ceremonial massage. It is great as a stand-alone or complimentary therapy.
